Abstract

The article examines the impact of educational workload associated with the use of digital technologies on the functional state of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems of adolescents. The study involved 100 adolescents who were divided into control and experimental groups depending on the duration of digital device use. Somatometric and physiometric methods were applied, including the assessment of body mass index, vital lung capacity, heart rate, and blood pressure indicators. In addition, Stange and Genchi breath-holding tests were conducted to evaluate the body's resistance to hypoxia. The results showed a decrease in vital lung capacity, reduced breath-holding duration, and weakened functional capacity of the cardiorespiratory system among students with a high digital educational workload. It was also found that physiological indicators were higher in boys than in girls. The findings indicate that prolonged use of digital technologies contributes to reduced physical activity and decreased adaptive reserves of the body. The results highlight the necessity of implementing health-preserving technologies and optimizing digital educational workload in the educational process.
