This article examines the educational path of Kazakh women who have made an invaluable
contribution to the development of Kazakhstan’s educational system, as well as the significance of women’s social rights and their role in public life as one of the prerequisites for building a Just Kazakhstan. The aim of the study is to identify the historical contribution of Kazakh women to education in the formation and development of modern Kazakhstani statehood.
The main idea of the research is to show how the educational paths of prominent Kazakh girls are connected to historical events and to determine their place in science, technology, engineering, art, and politics in contemporary times. The study involved the analysis of scientific and popular literature on history and culture, the study of the history of Kazakh women’s education, the compilation of a bibliography, and the use of quantitative methods. The first schools for Kazakh girls are associated with the name of the outstanding educator and teacher Ybyrai Altynsarin. The value of the research lies in revealing the historical significance of the first seminaries opened for Kazakh girls in present–day Almaty, two–year teacher training courses in Kyzylorda, regional Kazakh school–communes in Orenburg, and schools in major cities of Kazakhstan (Uralsk, Shymkent, Akmola, Karkaraly, Pavlodar, etc.) opened in the early 20th century in the development of the modern education system. The practical significance of the work lies in scientifically studying the history of the educational system and public enlightenment in Kazakh society, clarifying the issue of continuity in the historical development of education in Kazakhstan, and understanding the historically rightful place of Kazakh women in this process.
