Abstract in English Theoretical analysis of official materials, concepts and programs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, psychological, pedagogical, methodological literature in order to identify the theoretical foundations of "Folk games as a means of forming the personality of preschool children", mastering best practices with the study of literature and methodological manuals, determining the content of education, quantitative and qualitative analysis, generalization, summing up.
Folk game is a historically established social phenomenon, an independent form of activity, as well as a means of education and training, while maintaining its original and most valuable function, it ensures self-education through the child’s reflection. Since ancient times, they have shaped the image of man, his way of life, work and national positions, people’s thoughts about honor and courage, the desire for strength, agility, endurance, speed and beauty of movement.
