Abstract
In this article, the author's research goal is to review contemporary research on the development of emotional intelligence in junior high school students in the context of modern educational and sociocultural realities. The main research questions are aimed at identifying the current state of children's emotional development, factors influencing this process, and assessing the effectiveness of modern educational practices.
The methodology of the review includes the analysis of publications and research papers published in the period 2010-2024 using keywords such as "emotional intelligence", "elementary school children", "modern educational approaches". Supporting data include empirical research results, statistical data, and expert opinions in the field of pedagogy and psychology.
The review identifies key trends in the development of emotional intelligence in elementary school children, including the role of family, school, and sociocultural context. It was found that the successful formation of emotional intelligence depends on the integration of modern teaching methods, including the use of technology and interactive approaches.
The findings of this review are significant in the context of the current research debate, providing a broad understanding of how current educational trends may influence the development of emotional intelligence in younger students. This provides a basis for developing recommendations and strategies for educators to improve children's emotional competence in contemporary educational settings.
