The THE ESSENCE AND TYPES OF SUCH ELECTRONIC (DIGITAL) MONEY, LIKE «STABLECOINS», STABILIZATION OF THEIR PRICE

Abstract

Annotation. In this article, the goal was to reveal the essence of a new type of currency – stablecoins. A variation of the electronic money of stablecoins, which are located between cryptocurrencies and electronic money, is considered. This conclusion was made based on the disclosure of the essence and description of this currency, the definition of their types, their difference from cryptocurrencies and electronic money was revealed. The main methodology of the study is to form the definition of a currency, compare it with other digital money, and attempt to classify the types of stablecoins.

The value of the research lies in the fact that this direction in the development of electronic money is new, unexplored. These types of currencies, despite their diversity, are not yet familiar to many people, we decided to fill this gap and bring popularization to the population by showing the sides of this currency in terms of differences from cryptocurrencies, electronic money, traditional fiat money.
